Save Our Figs Inc has brought a case in the Land and Environment Court to try to force Council to accept the Premier’s offer to appoint an independent arborist.
An interim injunction has effectively been granted by the Court stopping any further work until 4pm on Friday 11 November.
The case has been adjourned to Wednesday 9 November at 9:30am.
Depending on what happens at the Council meeting the previous night, the injunction may need to be extended or if Council agrees to accept the Premier’s offer and defer the implementation of the July 19 resolution to remove the trees, we may withdraw the action.
Tuesday’s 4:30pm FIG RALLY will need to be a big one. We’ll keep you posted.
Pass this on to your fig friendly networks. Home

Interesting that the google add on this page is for an insurance agency. Perhaps they want the business of insuring Laman Street?
Seriously though, thank you SOF Inc so much for taking this action. I am grateful for all that you have done to save these trees & I really hope the community is successful.
