Something would have been using these (Chatham Rd, Broadmeadow) trees.
Doesn’t matter. They won in Laman Street. NCC can take out any tree they like now.
The $2mill was worth it.

30.6.2012: I was reminded by a friend of a Council meeting in ??2010 where John Johnston, infrastructure something-or-other, briefed Councillors about trees. He told them that NCC only remove trees if they’re unstable. This was just after a row of native trees had been removed from King Street to do up the footpath. Stable schmable.
