Before the road was cut through Birdwood Park, there were many more figs there. Newcastle residents have been battling to protect parkland and nature for a very long time.

Yes, it is a magnificent piece of art. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have some of these outside the Newcastle Art Gallery?
